ansible.builtin.paramiko_ssh deprecation notice
Felix Fontein shared
The
ansible.builtin.paramiko_sshplugin was deprecated in ansible-core 2.19 and is about to be removed from ansible-core 2.21. This unfortunately was not mentioned in the porting guide and there is also no runtime warning, so users might not be aware of this. To find out whether there are still use-cases that need this plugin, I created a discussion on the forum (Future of the (deprecated) paramiko connection plugin). If you still use the plugin, please mention your use-case there, in case you don’t want to simply switch toansible.builtin.sshanyway. Also, in case you’re using the Paramiko connection together with network device automation, note that the Ansible network team is working on covering that specific aspect directly (but they do not cover the general connection plugin).
Ansible Community Package
The Ansible package includes ansible-core and is a batteries-included package that provides a curated set of Ansible collections. See the Ansible roadmaps for future release plans.

awx.awx removal from Ansible Community Package
mariolenz shared
The
awx.awxcollection currently is undergoing a heavy refactoring. Unfortunately, this means that it does not align with the standards for the community package at the moment. So we decided to remove it from the Ansible Community Package (ACP) 14.We sincerely hope that the current work on the collection will be successful and we can add it again some time in the future.
Please note that you can still manually install the collection with
ansible-galaxy collection install awx.awxeven when it has been removed from the Ansible Community Package.
Help wanted
Partner communication forum proposal
Oranod contributed
The Community and Partner Engineering team have proposed bringing Red Hat partner communication into the forum to encourage open participation and increase transparency for the community. To support those goals we’ve put forward some suggestions on the approach and opened a poll.
Please take a few minutes to read through the proposal and cast your vote. We’re open to ideas and want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to share their thoughts.
We intend to close the poll on Friday, March 13, but might keep it open past that day if it seems like folks need more time to respond.
So head over to our forum poll and have your say here: Proposing a New "Red Hat Partners" Category for the Ansible Forum - #18 by oranod
