CentOS Configuration Management SIG

Dear Ansible Developers,

I would like to announce that I am bootstrapping a CentOS Configuration
Management SIG. A SIG (Special Interest Group) is a group in the CentOS
community who focuses on a specific goal.

In this case the goal of the SIG is to get community-build RPM packages
of configuration management tools that would be available to anyone.
Those packages would get extra testing and would be build and tested on
the existing community-driven CentOS public Infrastructure.

This project is a unique occasion to bring configuration management
tools closer to the distributions and working together with the
community. This mail is an invitation to join us in this effort to bring
high quality RPM packages for the CentOS community.

Thanks,

Hi,

As I have discussed at Config Management Camp, I would like to see
people involved in this initiative. As a reminder, we are creating a SIG
(Software Interest Group = a group of people working around the same
topic) around Configuration Management.

The objective is to build Ansible (and other config management tools)
and the tooling around it for the CentOS distribution, giving easy
access to the latest release to the CentOS community.

Please take a look at my Ignite talk from Config Management Camp:

If you want to join us, please register to https://accounts.centos.org
and provide me your username in a separate email, along with the project
you want to work on (it will probably be Ansible if you read this mail).
Please do so before Monday if you plan to help us.

If you are not familiar with the CentOS build system, that is fine.
There are resource available to jump in, that will be communicated to
the newcomers.

Thank you !
