Consolidating docs redirects

Oranod contributed

The Ansible community team is planning to consolidate redirects for Ansible documentation from versions 2.3 to 2.10 as well as for links to some specific modules and plugins docs that existed before collections. This effort will result in a change to the user experience but we’re doing it in the name of progress.

We’re asking our community members to review all the details in this forum post: Consolidating redirects on docs.ansible.com. You can find specific examples about the change as well as the PR that consolidates the redirects. We’ve also done a lot of testing to make sure the consolidated redirect rules work as expected and don’t result in a load of 404s. You can find the test results linked in that forum post as well. Thanks!

Cfgmgmtcamp schedule

Exciting news for everyone heading to Configuration Management Camp next February in Ghent! The Cfgmgmtcamp 2025 schedule is available!! We’ve got two Ansible tracks lined up with interesting talks from some great speakers.

You can register for Cfgmgmtcamp online. It’s free, fun, and a great opportunity to learn, share, and engage with fellow IaC technologists right after FOSDEM.

You can also grab some Cfgmgmtcamp gear from the online shop.
