Option "Overwrite Variables" in Inventory sources does not seem to work

Hi,

I’m using AWX 2.0.1.

I created an inventory with a source from Red Hat Satellite 6. It works. All the hosts are correctly created with a lot of variables.

My problem is that when I manually add variables in a host definition, they are erased when a new import is made…

The option “Overwrite” is checked but the option “Overwrite Variables” is no checked!

Am I doing something wrong ?

It sounds like you have the settings right, from what I have read. I have the same AWX and Satellite setup, but I haven’t tried what your doing. I’ll test mine tomorrow and see if I get the same results. Are you adding unique variables or are you adding variables that Satellite is also setting?
