Might as well introduce myself as I’ve posted some here and there already.
Real name is Bart, live in the Netherlands. Currently working as a Linux (dev/ops/sre) engineer at a large firm where I’ve introduced Ansible and Ansible AWX about a year ago. Already had some experience prior with Ansible, but expanded my knowledge a lot the past year on Ansible.
I’ll be here to mooch around and gain knowledge, help out where I can, and possibly contribute to Ansible at some point.

I am a senior professional with extensive experience, currently working as a Principal Engineer at a large firm. I have a strong passion for automation and a keen interest in Ansible/Tower. Last year, I introduced Ansible to my organization, where we successfully transitioned from document-driven operations to a centralized automation control plane based on infrastructure-as-code principles. This transformation initially supported a zero-downtime security rollout across several hundred production systems and was later expanded to automate multi-site data-center build pipelines. This significant shift has greatly reduced our delivery time.
I am here to gain knowledge, assist where possible, and potentially contribute to Ansible in the future.

Im working as a SRE for a big company. Previously I worked as a IT Support Specialist and IT Systems Administrator.
In my current role and company we found AWX and we will be implementing it to orchestrate and manage our Windows VMs. I’ve just picked up Kubernetes, Rancher, ArgoCD, Git and the whole shebang and will start working on developing AWX for our environments. Since this all is relatively new to me then I’m glad that I found the place where I can ask help ( and ask for help as I SHALL )
If you guys can recommend any links or additional books or something to go through that would make my learning path easier.. then you are welcome to share it. Thank you and glad to meet you all.

I’m David. I am currently working as a DevSecOps Engineer at a medium sized organization. Before this role, I worked as an automation engineer writing python and ansible for automations, and leading the effort to move to Ansible Automation Platfrom (AAP) from ansible-core. Overall, I’ve used ansible regularly for the last 6 years across multiple roles and personal use. I hope to continue learning ansible, and hopefully contribute to it’s continued development.
Primarily, I want to contribute to the ansible projects. I’m looking for issues that should be addressed, but have been waiting for a contributer for a long time, so I can take my time working on the PR. I have an existing PR that matched this, and it allowed me time to fully work on the issue without worrying someone else was working on the same thing, or would submit a PR before I finished mine. If there are any issues like this please send them my way.
I’m also interested in learning more about how ansible can best be organized in repositories, and utilized to always configure new servers to match existing production servers, as most organizations I’ve worked at struggled with these issues.

Hi everyone, my name is Suyash. I’m fairly new to contributing to open source and took an interest in Ansible. I am interested in learning about building tools in IT Automation, and saw that this community is relatively active. I have some experience coding and am looking to get back into it.

G’Day, I’m Jon. Apparently what I do has a name now “Home labbing.” Although to be honest from what I’ve seen a “home labber” is, I’ll stick to the original name hacking. I spent my time learning protocols and enterprise computing, management and engineering including buying many a thick book from microsoft, cisco and the like. For a few years I did use some of these skills professionally.
Since now I have a lot of time on my hands, I’ve decided to rebuild my complete computing infrastructure using kubernetes and other more recent technologies (like ansible). To bring this into perspective, My current windows domain user account was created in 2002. Whilst I did over the years move with technology that made life easier (hello Windows MDT… bye bye norton ghost) I have become an avid enthusiast for kubernetes for everything.

Whilst I have currently called it an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) More accurately it will be closer to a framework as its features mature. Centurion ERP came about as just like most of us out there you have to use many different pieces of software for all the things you run/use. I decided to combine a few different features I use, namely: Accounting, CMDB, ITAM, DCIM/ITIM, ITSM and ticketing into my own self developed software.
An automagic UI. The backend describes the data and the frontend auto-magically renders it for you. A few months ago “my proof of concept” passed 12 months since I needed to make changes to the UI outside of features that didnt exist. Now I’ve started to finalise the UI and backend standard.

I have already introduced myself in some previous year here, but since this is meant to be an introduction…
My name is Alexei (Alex), I’m Brazilian, with a Russian name, living in New Zealand. I started using Ansible to help configure my Xfce desktop in Linux, and fast forward a couple of years, I am helping maintain the community.general collection (btw, we have a backlog of 600+ issues, so contributions are welcome! ). I am also the primary maintainer of the community.openwrt collection, for working with OpenWrt devices (=> fun fact, many OpenWrt routers do not have enough memory to install/run Python, so the modules in this collection are 100% written in shell-script, we do some acrobatics for Ansible to run them smoothly - and they do! ).
Just like almost everybody else, I am playing with AI a lot these days, including in these collections. LLM models provide us with a lot of power, and you know how it goes: great power, great responsibility (and dies, cut camera to Peter Parker’s crying face).
You will find me more often nit-picking PRs or submitting changes myself in c.g or c.o, but I try to check the forum at least once or twice a week (except when Life™ gets really busy), so feel free to reach out here. I am always happy to help anyone that genuinely wants to learn.
