Mindshare: working on a release in collections now and feeling that antsibull-changelog is a really great tool! We shouldn’t take it for granted, so thanks a lot felixfonteint for its development and long term maintenance!

The Ansible package includes ansible-core and is a batteries-included package that provides a curated set of Ansible collections. See the Ansible roadmaps for future release plans.

Execution environments documentation

Oranod contributed

We’re planning to move the documentation for community execution environments from ansible.readthedocs.io back to the Ansible package docs. We’re going to do this so we can have all our content, including the docsite landing pages, hosted on ReadTheDocs. Please check out the recent forum post for full details about this upcoming change. If you have any questions, concerns, or thoughts, please let us know. Thanks for your patience and continued support!

AWX operator helm chart

Oranod shared

Looking for opinions on AWX operator helm chart versioning! If you use the helm chart to deploy AWX operator, we would like to get your input on how to version new releases, whether the same version as AWX operator or an independent version potentially starting from 3.0. Please join us on the forum and share your thoughts by replying to the AWX operator helm versioning post.

This release also introduces a deprecation for the amazon.aws.iam_role module, where support for creating and deleting IAM instance profiles using the create_instance_profile and delete_instance_profile options has been deprecated and will be removed in a release after 2026-05-01. (see changelog for details).

Deprecating and removing community.network collection

andersson007_ contributed

Within 2 weeks, the Community Steering Committee is goint to start a poll on deprecating and removing the community.network collection from the ansible community package due to the lack of active maintenance by the community.
