Hi everyone,

I’m looking for clarification regarding ServiceNow’s Ansible Spoke and its compatibility with AWX.

From the ServiceNow Store documentation, the Ansible Spoke is designed to integrate with Ansible Tower / Ansible Automation Platform, providing actions such as automating job scheduling, launching job templates, retrieving inventory details, and managing users within an Ansible Tower environment.
Based on information available online, some users have suggested that it may also work with AWX, but official confirmation remains unclear. [store.servicenow.com]

I’d like to understand the real‑world experience from the community:

Questions

  1. Has anyone successfully used ServiceNow Ansible Spoke with AWX?
  2. Does the Spoke correctly interact with AWX’s API endpoints, given that AWX and Tower share similar API structures?
  3. Are there known limitations, unsupported actions, or feature gaps when using the Spoke with AWX instead of Tower/AAP?
  4. Has anyone tested this with recent AWX versions?

Any insights, documentation, or references would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
