I have a requirements.yml in project/roles/ folder like it described at http://docs.ansible.com/ansible-tower/2.4.1/html/userguide/projects.html#ansible-galaxy-support.
However during the job execution, “ansible-galaxy install -r roles/requirements.yml -p ./roles/ --force” is not invoked.
I turned the job’s log level to 4.
How do I troubleshoot this? Is there some log I can look at?
The requirements file is read and executed during the project update that runs immediately before a job runs. You can see this project update by going to the job detail view. There will be a link to the project update on the left side of the display.

Thanks for the quick reply. It seems the roles from galaxy is only installed if you use scm type like git and also if you have checked update scm on launch on the project edit screen.
Since I am using manual scm type there is no update scm/project update and therefore it doesn’t trigger the ansible galaxy role install.
That is indeed true, sorry about that. We strongly recommend using source control to store your playbooks.
