I’m looking for an efficient way to identify which Cisco devices in my inventory can accept a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or host name as a logging source. My inventory includes both IOS and NXOS devices, with some being older models that only accept IP addresses, while others can handle FQDNs.
Does anyone have experience or suggestions on how to automate this check using Ansible? Any playbooks, modules, or specific commands that could help differentiate between these capabilities would be greatly appreciated.
