Where to put new extras module

Hello,

I’m interested in contributing a module called ‘gsettings’ for managing desktop settings but don’t know which category it belongs to. I’m thinking system is the most appropriate - would this be correct?

Also - I read somewhere that stable-1.9 is the branch to use for the pull request, is that correct, or should I be using devel?

stable-1.9 is only for bugfixes for the 1.9.x tree, devel is always
the correct place for new modules, system/ seems fine for this.
