We are HUAWEI data center CloudEngine switch(CISCO NEXUS switch similar) team。We have developed some Ansible modules to manage HUAWEI switch, and we are developing some other HUAWEI switch Ansible modules.

We would like to contributing these ansible modules code, would Ansible expert team help us review these modules ?

It is usually a good idea to join the ansible-devel list to discuss any large features prior to submission, and this especially helps in avoiding duplicate work or efforts where we decide, upon seeing a pull request for the first time, that revisions are needed. (This is not usually needed for module development, but can be nice for large changes).

Thanks for you interest in contributing to the networking module community. We are currently in the process of streamlining how modules are submitted, reviewed, committed, and listed – stay tuned for more updates. But in the meantime it would be a good idea to start queuing up and prepare the modules. Please create a HUAWEI space in the ansible module area in GitHub using the following steps.
NOTE: Since there is no HUAWEI folder yet, it might be a good idea to give them (the vendor) a heads up if you don’t work for them. They might be able to help you in the review and QA cycle.
In the short term since we are in the process of transitioning:
- Fork https://github.com/ansible/ansible
- Create a huawei directory in https://github.com/ansible/ansible/tree/devel/lib/ansible/modules/network
- Ensure all most current work is in that directory
- When this is finalized on your end, please contact me and we’ll keep you posted on next steps.
