Ansible at FOSDEM / CfgMgmtCamp

For those participating in FOSDEM in Brussels this weekend, come say hi to us at the Ansible stand, and check out some of the Ansible related talks in different devrooms!

After that we head to CfgMgmtCamp in Ghent, with 2 Ansible tracks on 2 days filled with excellent presentations! We will round up the long week of conferences with Ansible Collab on Feb 7th, engaging in interesting discussions with the Ansible community throughout.

The Ansible package includes ansible-core and is a batteries-included package that provides a curated set of Ansible collections. See the Ansible roadmaps for future release plans.

AWX Project :arrow_upper_right:

AWX provides a web-based user interface, REST API, and task engine built on top of Ansible. Join the AWX discussion in the Ansible Community Forum.

We’re happy to announce that the next release of AWX, version 23.7.0 is now available!
Some notable features include:

  • Add support for Bitbucket Data Center webhooks
  • Add userpass and LDAP support for HashiCorp vault credential_plugin
  • Added hop node documentation and expanded execution nodes section.

In addition AWX Operator version 2.11.0 has also been released!
Some notable features include:

  • Allow multiple ingress hosts to be defined when using ingress
  • multi-architecture builds and publish to quay
  • Adopt LISTENER_DATABASES setting
  • Add AWXMeshIngress custom resource (require ansible/awx#14640 to function)

Ansible-Core :arrow_upper_right: :zap:

The ansible-core package contains the base engine and a small subset of modules and plugins. To see what’s planned for the next release, look at the ansible-core roadmaps.

The inspur.sm collection is considered unmaintained and will be removed from Ansible 11 if no one starts maintaining it again before Ansible 11. See the removal process for details on how this works.

Please note that you can still manually install the collection with ansible-galaxy collection install inspur.sm even when it has been removed from Ansible.

community.general 8.3.0 has been released with new features, modules, and bugfixes.

community.docker 3.7.0 is out with new features and bugfixes for the Docker Compose v2 modules, and with a new docker_image_export module for exporting Docker images.

community.dns 2.8.0 has been released with renamed options for the inventory plugins - filters has been renamed to simple_filters - and an updated Public Suffix List.
