I'm trying to understand conditional execution in a playbook and use
hostvars in a template. I'm using latest dev snapshot of ansible.

The error path clearly has a bug in trying to report the actual problem – by favorite class of error – the error trying to report an error.
Please make sure there’s a github ticket on this.
