Request Ansible Galaxy access to namespace “opengear”.

I am an employee of Opengear and have inherited the maintenance of GitHub repo opengear/opengear.om

I am intending to release the enhanced collection on Ansible Galaxy, but all previous maintainers have left the company and are not reachable. I would like my GitHub account to be given permission to manage this namespace.

@LachyTech hello, I don’t see your GitHub username on Galaxy. Please log in to Galaxy using it.
Also there’s opengeardev user there which looks like a service account. If you have access to it, you could use it. Otherwise, please log in to Galaxy using your personal GH username and let us know. Thank you

I’m logged in at the moment via GitHub auth on Ansible Galaxy. Is that correct? If there is any previous account I do not have access to it.

I’ve asked our IT department for support from their end and we do not have record of the opengeardev account for the namespace on Ansible Galaxy.

Unfortuately I will need to rely on Ansible Galaxy support to get access.

@LachyTech Just to clarify, Ansible Galaxy uses GitHub for authentication, ie there isn’t any Ansible Galaxy specific password.

If you know the email address used by https://github.com/opengeardev you can request a password reset

Otherwise you can contact GitHub Support and ask them for help resetting the password for opengeardev.

I was able to locate the owner of that account internally and now have access to the namespace. Thank you for the support.
