Namespace hasn't been created when logging into Ansible Galaxy

As the title suggests, I have logged into Ansible Galaxy using my Github account and am wanting to create roles but no namespace has been created under my name and I can’t see any namespaces in the Collection My Namespaces section or role namespace section.

Does this just take a long while to create from first login or is something broken on my end?

Username is 0xRedpoll

Thanks!

I see this could be due to have a digit as the first letter in my name but I am not going to rename my Github just to be able to get a namespace on here. Can this be manually made by the Galaxy team?

Just bumping in case someone can assist.

@gundalow , are you able to assist with helping me point this at the right people please? Thanks!!

Namespaces cannot start with underscores or numbers. Would you be okay with a namespace just called redpoll?

Certainly, as long as it is attached to me!

Great! I have created the redpoll namespace and role namespace in galaxy and granted 0xRedpoll owner permissions for the namespace.

Thank you so much, your help means so much as been so excited to do this!!!

Absolutely, glad I was able to help!

Sorry, stupid follow up on this. Can I reference my GitHub when importing a role through the website or is it better to do through the cli? Getting errors for the mismatch currently.

After talking with one of the senior galaxy devs about this, I went in and created a roles namespace for 0xRedpoll and associated it with the redpoll namespace, so I think it should work properly now!
