https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/13818 - templates broken in 2.0.1.0

Has the problem in https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/13818 been
fixed? I'm seeing a failure of the 'templates' module to locate files
names in the corresponding 'templates' directory of the associated role.
