How well does Ansible manage Windows desktops?

I’m bran new to Ansible. It was recommended by a friend. Here’s my situation.

  1. I’m an IT manager searching for a solution to manage about 130 Windows workstations & laptops.
  2. I would like to pull information from these computers.
  3. I would like to force Windows updates.
  4. I would like to remotely install applications and application updates when needed
  5. Just like other IT departments, I have no budget for this project.

Is Ansible a good fit for my situation?

Hi Damien,

Looking at what you are trying to accomplish I’d suggest you look into Microsoft’s Active Directory and the use of GPO’s.
