Some time ago I came across an problem with the vmware_guest_disk module. After extensive testing and research eventually found it was a known problem and there was an “issue” in github for the problem: https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/58068. A fix has been available since June but it doesn’t appear to have made it’s way in to the shipping product yet. What is the expected timescale for a fix being produced and then included in the package? Is there a way to flag these up with the Devs so they can review the fix and include it?

More generally, the problem of issues taking a long time to get resolved
was acknowledged and resulted in the proposal containing various ways of
restructuring the Ansible project. [1]
