Govc import.ova fails with 'ovfSection.info.key' parameter error

Hi - I’m using the ‘govc import.ova’ function in an Ansible automation to deploy a VM into a vSphere environment. We have many Ansible automations that deploy VMs in our environment using ‘govc import.ova’. But a new automation fails inexplicably with the error message:

“govc: A specified parameter was not correct: ovfSection.info.key”

I’ve searched and can’t find any explanation for this parameter, and how to diagnose and correct this problem. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi - a colleague provided the answer: “I think this issue stems from the fact that this ova was created in a vSAN Datastore.” I used a different .ova and the problem went away.
