You probably want to put patterns="^CentOS.*\.repo" with a point to
represent any character... (not tested)
Your regex match a repetition of S
Be careful that these files will came back when upgrading with yum the
package "centos-release"...
Perhaps it should be better to add lines in these files to deactivate
these repos instead
