Considering RHN Satellite to Ansible migration

Hi all

I’m just researching my options as my Satellite v5 → Satellite v6 migration testing did not go well. Aside from application instability, configuration management under v6 is not friendly. The must haves of any replacement are:

  • Syncing RHEL content
  • Easy to use config file management
  • Node provisioning

My research into Ansible has been mostly positive. My question is around syncing RHEL content and a couple of other repos which I want to store locally. Is this possible with Ansible?
