I have a question regarding the persistence of AWX projects. In the documentation, I found that project persistence can be configured (documentstion). Does this mean that projects in AWX are not persistent by default? If a pod is deleted, do the projects also get deleted?

Project that you create in AWX will persist because that information is stored in database but the project data like playbook we synced from git will not persist through restart without project persistent
Is there a specific reason why this option is disabled by default? Is it advisable for production use to enable project persistence?
