Hi AWX Project Team,

Issue: we had 3 instances under tower instance group and all of sudden AWX jobs are getting failed.
after that, we scaled down from 3 instances to 1 instance under tower instance group, then jobs are moving fine i.e getting executed successfully…

So, we are in confusion state, why this issue happened ?

we have 3 towner instances , why jobs are getting failed?
Why jobs are getting successded after scalled down to 1 instance from 3 instances?

Kindly clarify on this?

So, we are just analyzing , what is best practice having 3 tower instances instead 1 instance under tower instance group?

Can you provide more debug information? Can you include the tower container logs that jobs are failing on. Also include the failure that is in the job output.

Sorry, we do not have that logs info now.

But, Can you please clarify below:

  1. what are the scaling up recommendations for AWX?
  2. what are the best practices for Scaling up AWX?
  3. Difference between single pod vs multipod setup for AWX?
  4. What are the best practices for High Availability in AWX?
