Announcing the AWS Working Group

Hey folks - because of the new efforts on integration testing and improving module coverage, we’ve started an official working group around the Amazon Web Service modules. If you use or contribute to these modules, check out https://github.com/ansible/community/tree/master/group-aws for the whole story.

The short version:

  • There’s a new IRC channel #ansible-aws on Freenode for chatter about AWS modules
  • There’s not yet a scheduled AWS Working Group meeting - issues, IRC, and pull requests are preferred
  • If you have ideas, hit us up in #ansible-aws
  • If you want to contribute, open pull requests or feature requests for discussion

Count me in & thanks for the great initiative. Interested to see if/how soon we can address some of these pain points:
- Better/clearer docs for enabling new contributors to leverage moto (or similar) for testing their code
- Revamp/replace the "EC2" dynamic inventory script

I'm definitely interested in joining this effort. I've been using most of the aws modules and have already made a contribution to the iam module.
I certainly hope to contribute more and be part of this group.
