I have used Ansible before but I am new to AWX.
I am trying to create a machine credential to hold my SSH Private key and PassPhrase.
I can load the key by dragging it to the SSH PRIVATE KEY field and save the credential. I then get ENCRYPTED in the field to show that the KEY is now saved in encrypted state.
Now I try to set PRIVATE KEY PASSPHRASE or Prompt on launch for the field and I get the error…should not be set when SSH key is not encrypted. and the passphrase or “TICK” will not save.
There is alot of old documentation around regarding use of vault for SSH Keys but pretty sure the latest version should just work.
I have tried to perform this task in many combinations and for many test users.
I have attached a screen capture showing Key is encrypted and error message below the passphrase field which is stopping the save from happening.
