There have been various people asking about using module_utils for site specfic or role specific modules, and the answer has historically been that it’s planned for a future release. The Ansible 2.3 changelog lists as a major change, “Allow module_utils for custom modules to be placed in site-specific directories and shipped in roles”.
I cannot find documentation for how to do this. Does the documentation exist? Does the feature actually exist (for custom modules)? I’m trying to use the Ansiballz packaging for my own modules.
