@ssbipa6, try running scp between and the ubuntu vm first with -v, then try again with python .venv, then again within Ansible. I just completed a SCP IOS transfer role, and encountered that error as well, but outside scope eve-ng but still in ubuntu than migrated to a rhel9 with podman ee solution. Also, make sure you add your python path to your ansible.cfg too once you get the scp to vm piece work and start introducing the ansible part.
