Hey everyone!

amazon.aws 12.0.0 has been released including:

  • breaking changes raising the minimum requirements to ansible-core >= 2.18.0 (Python >= 3.11) and boto3/botocore >= 1.38.23.
  • removal of overdue deprecated parameters: placement_group and tenancy from ec2_instance, and template from cloudformation.
  • breaking changes to the s3_object module: the overwrite parameter now only accepts string values (always, never, different, latest), and dualstack/endpoint_url are now mutually exclusive.
  • bugfixes for route53_zone (dnssec idempotency), rds_cluster, and rds_option_group, plus refactoring improvements across the autoscaling, RDS, and ELB modules.
