Is it possible to get LDAP password user session into playbook as var?

Hi

I already use the very convinient tower_user_name job var to extract the LDAP user that launchs the job.

Multiple LDAP users should launch the same template, this is the reason why I can’t use AWX_PASSWORD env var.
I currently ask for user to enter his own password in a survey, but it should be convinient to reuse the LDAP session one if possible.

Is it?

Hi there,
thanks for your question, there are some security implications to implementing this idea. While it would be extremely convenient it also would open up your jobs for other users to re-run because the password would then be exposed in prior runs.
