CfgMgmtCamp 2026

Since this will be a discussion now, I spent some time to expand on my notes I made before writing the above comment. It turned into a longer document: Topics for my planned rant talk at CfgMgmtCamp 2026 (https://forum.ansible.com/t/44250/6) · GitHub

Edit: you can now also find this on the forum: CfgMgmtCamp 2026 discussion (0/12): Problems in the Ansible world and how to improve on them

After searching I could not find information about the streaming for 2026. I did find the recordings from past events at https://www.youtube.com/@CitytvNL/playlists.

So the question comes up, will it be live at that channel there? Or are there other links for a YouTube Live stream?

@U880D We will update the top of this post when the live streams are know, which will be when the sessions start at 1400UTC+1 on Monday 2nd & Tuesday 3rd, and 0900UTC+1 on Wednesday 4th February. After the event we will do a write up with links to slides and videos, again linked from the top of this forum post.

The Forum has slides from previous events.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share part of the agenda for my session during Contributor Summit on Weds morning. During the session I want to provide the community with an update and overview on the Community and Partner Engineering team at Red Hat. We were planning to do this at last year’s Contributor Summit but unfortunately ran a bit short on time after the great discussions.

After that portion, my team and I would like to have a discussion with everyone in the room and online about our goals for 2026. When we get back from Ghent our plan is to collaboratively define our roadmap for the year ahead. It’s important that we hear from the community and clearly understand issues and pain points that we can add to our roadmap and prioritize against other work.

We really want to use this session as an opportunity to hear from contributors and get your suggestions and feedback. With this in mind, we’re inviting everyone to share their thoughts and provide direct input to the work that the community team will undertake in 2026.

To facilitate this discussion we’ve prepared some slides and talking points around the following high-level goals:

  • Focus on content quality
  • Improve content discovery and user adoption
  • Reduce maintainer burden
  • Act as open source champions

If you are planning to attend Contributor Summit, whether in-person or online, we ask that you come prepared to discuss these goals and provide us with suggestions on specific pieces of work that align with each goal. We’re hoping for a really fruitful discussion (which should lead into the follow on session from @felixfontein and @nitzmahone quite nicely).

Again, our goal here is to identify and prioritize work that will benefit the community and help us empower Ansible contributors. To do this, we really need to hear from you. So please start giving our high-level goals some thought and come prepared to tell us what YOU want to see us work on in the year ahead.

We’ll also be posting to the forum as we define our roadmap to give visibility and hold ourselves accountable to the Ansible community.

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to seeing you all in Ghent soon!! :waffle: :waffle:

I converted my notes to forum posts (as it was suggested at the Contributor’s Summit) so they are easier to comment and discuss. I also prepended each with information about what happened (in/since the discussion), if applicable. Here is a summary post with links to all the individual posts: CfgMgmtCamp 2026 discussion (0/12): Problems in the Ansible world and how to improve on them
