Ansible Tower - Junk Characters in parameters

All,

We are trying to run the script (also command) with some parameter using Ansible Tower on AIX server (as target)
when the execution happens on the tower we are seeing some junk characters are passed to the command or script as arguments and hence scripts fail.

this is what we see in tower console as parameter

\u000f������4\u000f������0

the actual parameter that we are passing to the command/script is LISTTSDEV1

Things work fine when running from the local setup.
any idea what’s going on with the tower
