Ansible Tower error message when running jobs

Hi

I get this error message when I tried to run jobs

call to api/v2job_templates/10/launch failed POST returned status 504

It was working some months ago

First off, this is for AWX discussions. While Tower is technically an off-shoot of AWX, it’s got enough different that you’re better off working with RedHat support on the issue. In a past life I did and the team was great to work with and usually had an answer very quickly.

Back to your question, it’s really hard to say from that one error message in the screen shot.

  1. Have you looked at the AWX logs? What is reported there?
  2. It looks like you’re trying to re-launch an older job that has run. Can you try to start a new copy of the job, not relaunch? Relaunch should work but this is still a good test, especially where you said “It was working some months ago”.
