Ansible Core Holiday Release Schedule Update

Due to the upcoming holiday season, we will be skipping the Dec 23/30 ansible-core release window. This same window was skipped last year. This will likely be a pattern that holds true from year to year.

We are scheduled to release ansible-core 2.18.1, 2.17.7, and 2.16.14 on Dec 2, 2023, and will then pause until the Jan 20/27 release window (pending applicable backports necessitating a release).

The ansible-core release schedule operates on a 4 week cycle, with release candidates releasing 1 week before the GA release date.

Note that since Ansible community package releases follow ansible-core releases, there will be no Ansible 11 release on December 31st as well. Ansible 11.1.0 will be released on December 3rd after ansible-core 2.18.1, and Ansible 11.2.0 will be released at the end of January 2025 after ansible-core 2.18.2.
