Does the galaxy-ng still receive updates?

“Issue”: The last release (4.10.6) is from 22.07.2025.

  • Can I safely use the latest files in “main” which receive monthly updates or should I wait for the next release?
  • does the updates for this project on github continue, or is it discontinued due to the limited support?

The background on my questions is that I want to deploy galaxy-ng as standalone in my infrastructure to provide collections in my environment, and im not sure if the updates continue, or in further future I will run in CVEs due to unpatched software.

I don’t know about the current status of galaxy-ng and can’t help you there. But if this is not (only) about providing your own collections in your environment, you might be interested in mirroring / proxy caching galaxy.

BTW I’ve added the ansible-galaxy and galaxy tags to this thread. I hope this helps to increase visibility. I also hope I haven’t been wrong there because those tags are about something else.

GitHub - ansible/galaxy_ng: Ansible Galaxy Server - Issues on https://forum.ansible.com Docs on https://galaxy-ng.readthedocs.io/ · GitHub is still being maintained, although I don’t believe upstream tags/releases are being made going forward. The main branch is what is used for https://galaxy.ansible.com/ and what the galaxy operator uses as well.
