Next meeting will be 10 Dec or 11 Dec as per github issue?
Thanks
I wasn’t able to make it to the Tuesday, April 8, 2025 meeting, is it recorded somewhere?
Every time i try and join there is just a bunch of people on mute and nothing ever happened. Not sure if that was a one off but seemed strange.
I went to the meeting 5 minutes late, was it cancelled?
Just saw the note about the Dec meeting, thanks
can you share a link?
I was referring to information about the meeting? Are the monthly meetings not occuring? There is still an active invite.
Someone, most often recently by @thedoubl3j, creates an issue for AWX Community Meeting agendas: AWX Community Meetings. Some have been cancelled due to lack of agendas to talk about, and some months don’t appear to even have an issue created.
@AWX Not to put you guys on the spot, but does anyone want to chime in about the state of the AWX community meetings? Even if you guys don’t have an agenda to talk about, it’d still be nice to have a bit of Q&A with someone there.
Hi
Thanks for the direct ping, I hadn’t spotted this discussion till now.
I (as a member of the Ansible Community team at Red Hat) haven’t personally attended many of the AWX office hours in a long time, so my knowledge is 2nd and 3rd hand, so please do correct me.
Though in summary, we (Red Hat) will pause them for a while due to lack of discussion.
I had heard that as mentioned above, there isn’t much on the agenda, so the meetings get cancelled, or take a few minutes of people saying “nothing from me”, and get closed.
The majority of the AWX team are on the Ansible Forum, so starting new discussion threads under the AWX tag will get read by the right people. We’ve seen that the Ansible Forum works well for asynchronous discussion, which is important for a community that’s spread across the globe.
We are currently moving our active meetup groups to the new Ansible Network on Meetup Pro. One of the great features this will offer is the ability to host shared virtual events across all our groups. I’d love for that to include things like quarterly Office Hours as well as easier access to presentations. If you’ve got any thoughts on that please share them via the Improving Ansible Meetups forum post
I joined Ansible Virtual Meetups | Meetup, hopefully there will be some discussions on AWX. Thanks.
@bostonlinux That’s great, I hope others will join as well.
As a reminder, all our events are listed on the Forum’s event calendar
