# vmware\_guest - unsupported parameter for module: networks

Hi,

I’m trying to execute this playbook with the latest version from git:

# Create a VM from a template

- hosts: 127.0.0.1  
connection: local  
gather\_facts: no  
tasks:
- name: create the VM  
vmware\_guest:  
hostname: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX  
username: administrator@vsphere.local  
password: XXXXXXXX  
validate\_certs: no  
esxi\_hostname: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX  
datacenter: DATACENTER  
folder: /TEST  
name: testvm\_ansible  
state: poweredoff  
hardware:  
memory\_mb: 512  
num\_cpus: 1  
scsi: paravirtual  
disk:
- size\_kb: 279552  
type: thin  
datastore: datastore1
- size\_gb: 10  
type: thin  
datastore: datastore1  
networks:
- name: DPG-Lan  
ip: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX  
netmask: 255.255.255.0  
gateway: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX  
template: Template\_CentOS\_7\_x86\_64  
wait\_for\_ip\_address: yes  
register: deploy
- debug: var=deploy

But i get this error:

},  
“msg”: “unsupported parameter for module: networks”  
}

Any ideas what could be wrong?

It's parameter is planned to be supported in v2.3( Release Target:  
February/March 2017 ).

I see. I new it was for version 2.3, but i though that would already be implemented in the devel branch, that’s why i tried with latest git clone.
