# Upload SSL Certificate to AWS (for aws\_elb\_lb module to use)

Hi,

Does ansible support uploading of .crt, .key (and optionally .chain) files into AWS? I would like to complete the whole cycle, i.e. upload a cert, and then refer to it in [aws\_elb\_lb](http://docs.ansible.com/ec2_elb_lb_module.html) listeners.

Hi Sankalp,

The certificate needs to be loaded into AWS IAM first - the ec2\_elb\_lb module does not do this. To reference the cert from ec2\_elb\_lb, the certificate ID is referenced in the list of listeners (see the first example here: [http://docs.ansible.com/ec2\_elb\_lb\_module.html](http://docs.ansible.com/ec2_elb_lb_module.html)).
