# Upgrade from postgres 12 to 13 AWX

I’m running AWX 21.3.0 (Operator 0.25.0). I upgrade to this from 0.12.0 without issue, however, I attempted to change the postgres version to 13 in the operator resource when I upgraded and it failed. When I changed it back to 12 it succeeded. So I’m still on postgres 12 but I’d like to upgrade.

I’m planning now to upgrade to 0.30.0. What is the process to go from postgres 12 to 13?
