It would be great to see what you, the community, think about this. [mariolenz](https://matrix.to/#/@mariolenz:matrix.org) shared > It looks like the [ovirt.ovirt](https://github.com/ovirt/ovirt-ansible-collection) collection is effectively unmaintained. According to the current [Ansible Community Package Collections Removal Process](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/devel/community/collection_contributors/collection_package_removal.html#identifying-and-removing-an-unmaintained-collection-that-has-not-been-deprecated-by-its-maintainers), we consider removing it in a future version of the Ansible Community Package. Please see [Unmaintained collection: ovirt.ovirt](https://forum.ansible.com/t/39455) for more information or to announce that you鈥檙e interested in taking over the maintenance of (a fork of) `ovirt.ovirt`. > > At least one month after this announcement appears here and in the [collection鈥檚 issue tracker](https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-ansible-collection/issues/755), the Ansible Community Steering Committee will vote on whether this collection is considered unmaintained and will be removed, or whether it will be kept. If it will be removed, this will happen earliest in Ansible Community Package 13. Please note that you can still manually install the collection with `ansible-galaxy collection install ovirt.ovirt` even when it has been removed from Ansible Community Package. ## Ansible-Core [鈫梋(https://github.com/ansible/ansible) The `ansible-core` package contains the base engine and a small subset of modules and plugins. To see what鈥檚 planned for the next release, look at the [`ansible-core` roadmaps](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible-core/devel/roadmap/ansible_core_roadmap_index.html). ### ansible-test updates [Felix Fontein](https://matrix.to/#/@felixfontein:matrix.org) shared > Ansible-core devel鈥檚 ansible-test has updated multiple CI containers and remote VMs; see [Ansible-test devel: Fedora 40 replaced by Fedora 41, Alpine 3.20 by 3.21, RHEL 9.4 by 9.5, FreeBSD 14.1 by 14.2; multiple other CI container updates](https://forum.ansible.com/t/39512) for more information. ## Collection updates 馃獎 ### Nokia srlinux collection coming [andersson007\_](https://matrix.to/#/@andersson007_:matrix.org) shared > A new forum tag [srlinux](https://forum.ansible.com/tag/srlinux) has been added to the forum for Nokia SR Linux ansible collection (Nokia SR Linux Network OS support). ### community.dns [Felix Fontein](https://matrix.to/#/@felixfontein:matrix.org) shared > community.dns 2.9.9 ([community.dns/CHANGELOG.md at stable-2 路 ansible-collections/community.dns 路 GitHub](https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.dns/blob/stable-2/CHANGELOG.md#v2-9-9)) has been released; community.dns 2.x.y is now End of Life. It also deprecates the PyOpenSSL backend for the `community.crypto.openssl_pkcs12` module. It will be removed in the next major release.
