## MAJOR NEW RELEASES 🏆

### Ansible-Core [↗](https://github.com/ansible/ansible)

The `ansible-core` package contains the base engine and a small subset of modules and plugins. To see what’s planned for the next release, look at the [`ansible-core` roadmaps](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible-core/devel/roadmap/ansible_core_roadmap_index.html).

### Antsibull [↗](https://github.com/ansible-community/antsibull)

Tooling for building the `Ansible` package and collection documentation.

> antsibull 0.62.0 ([antsibull-build/CHANGELOG.md at main · ansible-community/antsibull-build · GitHub](https://github.com/ansible-community/antsibull/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md#v0-62-0)) has been released with new features and a breaking change related to handling feature freeze, and releasing with existing data (`.deps` files, and/or release summary). The breaking change is that the release role no longer automatically skips the `prepare` step if the `.deps` file is already present. The old behavior can be restored with a new option for the release role. See the changelog for more details.

### Ansible [↗](https://github.com/ansible-collections)

The `Ansible` package includes `ansible-core` and is a batteries-included package that provides a curated set of Ansible collections. See the [Ansible roadmaps](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/devel/roadmap/ansible_roadmap_index.html) for future release plans.

It also includes the removal of some functionality for `iam_role, iam_role_info` and `module_utils.policy` that were previously deprecated. We have also removed support for `ansible-core<2.15`.
