# Task title of import\_role tasks

I prepend my task names with a number to quickly see where things go wrong. The task name of an import\_role module task is not displayed however…  
Does anyone know a method how achieve this or a similar functionality?

imports are parsing time macros, and are never actually processed as a task. You would need to switch to `include_role` to have it execute during runtime

IIRC there are some [slight differences between import and include](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/10/playbook_guide/playbooks_reuse.html#comparing-includes-and-imports-dynamic-and-static-reuse). Depending on your use case, include instead of import might be problematic.

If it isn’t, I guess @sivel’s proposal should help you.
