# \--tags doesn't work with meta: flush\_handlers

Setup:

— myrole/main.yml —

- include: somefile.yml  
tags: configure

----somefile.yml—

- some command  
notify: handlerx

- meta: flush\_handlers

— myrole/handlers/main.yml ----

- handlerx:   
tags: configure

Result:

- handlerx is not fired with the flush\_handlers meta command. The playbook is failing, so I can’t tell if the handlers get flushed at the end of it or not…

This used to work pre 1.9, in the 1.8.x build.

Anyone else see this behavior? Suggestions?

Also tried adding always tags to the handers, No change there.

You might want to check out: [https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/10758](https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/10758)

This issue was just fixed recently in devel.
