# Supress UI in Main "tools\_awx" container - Docker Method

Hi All,

I’m able to do a successful build of AWX (Version 16) with Ansible (2.9.4) following Docker deployment method, using the steps mentioned in the CONTRIBUTING.md.

I’m trying to customize the build of AWX, i.e., not use Makefile targets rather to build the docker images of my own. While I’m able to do UI build seperately using the Dockerfile under ui\_next directory, the UI comes up & is successfully able to connect to the backend via APIs through private ip of VM.

Need guidance to supress the UI in main “tools\_awx\_1” container. Any pointers to related documentation/suggestions/steps would help.
