# Release announcement: kubernetes core 6.6.0 and 5.5.0

We’re happy to announce that `kubernetes.core` v6.6.0 (stable-6) & v5.5.0 (stable-5) are here!

## Major improvements in v6.6.0

• Helm enhancements: `wait_for_jobs` option, `cleanup_on_fail` for failed upgrades, improved  
`reuse_values` handling  
• `k8s_cp` performance: streaming archives (lower memory), `copy_timeout` option, better  
completion verification  
• `k8s_info`: metadata-only fetches for improved performance  
• New `job_complete` waiter predicate for Job resources  
• Action group updates for better `module_defaults` support

## Bug fixes

• `helm_repository` URL normalization with trailing slashes  
• `k8s_cp` silent truncation fix  
• Helm 4.2.1+ OCI registry compatibility

## Deprecations (both versions)

• `ENABLE_TURBO_MODE` deprecated (removal in 8.0.0)  
• helm `status.values` → use `release_values` instead  
• helm `wait_timeout` → use `timeout` instead
