ansible-static-lint v0.7.0 is out. ansible-static-lint (`astl`) is a fast, offline static companion to ansible-lint. It implements the checks that can be decided from the source alone, without starting Python or an Ansible runtime. It uses the same ansible-lint configuration, rule IDs and `# noqa` comments, and reproduces ansible-lint’s pep8 output within its supported scope. ## What’s new in v0.7.0 - Added `no-free-form`, bringing static coverage to 40 of ansible-lint’s 51 built-in rule IDs. - GitHub Action now runs on Windows runners. - Windows usage is documented explicitly: no WSL or Ansible installation is required. - Homebrew releases are now generated automatically. - Performance documentation and static-scope measurements were refreshed. The compatibility corpus still reproduces every supported ansible-lint finding byte-for-byte. ## Install With pipx: ```console pipx install ansible-static-lint astl . ``` The PyPI wheel contains the native binary; Python is only used as the installation mechanism.
