# Query on AWX extra vars

Hi All,

We have created a workflow in AWX with some extra vars on the workflow level which all the job templates will use.

We want to overwrite the variable(“name”:“Gaytahiri”) provided through extra-vars in the workflow with (“name”:“devi”) dynamically through stat\_stats In one of our job templates.

Since we have high priority for the extra vars, set\_stats/set\_fact are not able to change the value of extra-vars

Any idea how to overwrite the extra vars?
