# Purpose of Migrate database task (Version 9.1.0 and 9.2.0)

Hi All,

Hope you are doing well

When we are trying to install AWX on K8S, it is either hang at the task: Migrate Database or give below error. We are creating a new PV.

Error:

django.db.utils.OperationalError: could not connect to server: Connection timed out", “\tIs the server running on host "awx-postgresql" (10.98.4.144)  
and accepting”, "\tTCP/IP connections on port 5432?

May I know the purpose of this task, is it necessary while creating a new PV. Please suggest
