One of our roles adds disks to our apache zookeeper machines. This is a task in a role for our RHV enviroment:

- name: Add zk disks
ovirt\_disk:
auth: “{{ ovirt\_auth }}”
name: “{{ item[1] }}”
vm\_name: “{{ item[0] }}”
size: “4GiB”
format: cow
interface: virtio
storage\_domain: “{{ rhv\_storage\_domain }}”
with\_nested:
- “{{ group }}”
- [‘zkData’, ‘zkLog’]
delegate\_to: “{{ rhv }}”
when: zookeeper\_deploy is defined

My question is this…in RHV we can name the disks in RHV for identification, but I do not see an equivalent option under the vmware\_guest option. Would I just add an additional disk option in the task like below or is there a better practice method:

- name: Add zk disks
vmware\_guest:
hostname: “{{ vcenter\_hostname }}”
username: “{{ vcenter\_username }}”
password: “{{ vcenter\_password }}”
validate\_certs: no
name: “{{ item }}”
disk:
- size\_gb: 4
type: thin
datastore:
disk:
- size\_gb: 4
type: thin
datastore:

delegate\_to: “{{ vcenter }}”
when: zookeeper\_deploy is defined?

Thanks
Robert
