Hi

I already use the very convinient tower\_user\_name job var to extract the LDAP user that launchs the job.

Multiple LDAP users should launch the same template, this is the reason why I can’t use AWX\_PASSWORD env var.
I currently ask for user to enter his own password in a survey, but it should be convinient to reuse the LDAP session one if possible.

Is it?

Hi there,
thanks for your question, there are some security implications to implementing this idea. While it would be extremely convenient it also would open up your jobs for other users to re-run because the password would then be exposed in prior runs.
Cheers - the AWX team
