# Inventories - VMware vCenter - filter by config.guestId wildcart

I am struggling to find proper documentation for filtering VMware vCenter inventory by operating system.

Hello, your question seems to be about using Ansible, not about AWX.  
The [docs for the inventory plugin](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/community/vmware/vmware_vm_inventory_inventory.html) seem to indicate that there is a prefix option for keyed groups but you may want to reach out to the maintainers of the plugin.  
Or [https://groups.google.com/g/ansible-project](https://groups.google.com/g/ansible-project) is the best place to visit for user questions about Ansible. Thanks!
